NorthStar Interviews was founded by a small group of UK trainees and registrars who succeeded in competitive specialty training interviews — and wanted to make the process less daunting for the doctors who come after them.
We went through the same process — the sleepless nights before interviews, the uncertainty about what panels were really looking for, the gap between clinical competence and interview performance.
We noticed that many strong candidates were underselling themselves simply because they hadn't practised in a realistic setting. Generic interview prep courses weren't cutting it — they were too broad, too impersonal, and rarely run by people who had recently been through the specialty-specific process.
So we created NorthStar: small, focused, run by people who've done it themselves, and genuinely invested in your success.
